Jay & Allison’s Wedding : June 18, 2010 : : CLICK HERE
Perhaps two of my favorite people on the planet…I’ve known Allison for what seems to be forever. I love her and would kill people for her. Jay, I’ve only known for a couple of years now and honest to goodness, I can say I love that guy too (in a manly/friend kinda way). I’m really excited to see what God is going to do with them as a couple and needless to say, I’m REALLY excited I got to take these pictures.
Josh & Carrie’s Wedding : June 13, 2010 : : CLICK HERE
My first Military wedding. Sabres and all. Josh & Carrie could easily be described as the All-American couple. Great people from great families and a whole lot of great pictures. In fact, with these two and their wedding party, it was hard to take a bad picture. Now, I just wonder how I can get one of those awesome swords.
Brian & Amanda’s Wedding : June 5, 2010 : : CLICK HERE
Brian & Amanda area local couple with lots of great friends. The chemistry, not only between Brian & Amanda, but with Brian, Amanda & their wedding party made this wedding allot of fun for me. It was hot and sunny outside but even shooting outdoors, these guys were troopers.
Seth & Courtenay’s Wedding : May 22, 2010 : : CLICK HERE
Seth is no longer Mini-Me. He is no longer the kid at camp picking his nose in front of the camera. He is no longer the roommate. Now, Seth is the groom. Seth & Courtenay are a couple from my home church that have been together for several years. Somehow they made it to this day without killing each other. I have to think that God is going to bless them and keep them together forever.
Archie & Gina’s Wedding : April 25, 2010 : : CLICK HERE
Welcome to the Windy City, Chicago, Illinois. My sister, just a few years ago, married a great guy named Christian. Christian had a brother. His name was Archie. Yup…his name is really Archie. This particular weekend, I was fortunate enough to make a trip to Chicago to see my sister & shoot Archie’s marriage to Gina. These two are one of those couples that are just hard to be around if you’re single. So daggone in love that it almost makes you sick. I know that God is going to bless their marriage.
Paul & Kara’s Wedding : March 13, 2010 : : CLICK HERE
It hasn’t been that long ago that every Sunday following church, I would go and play golf with my father & Mike Call. This day, Mike was the father of the beautiful bride, Kara. Because I knew Mike and his daughters and the rest of their family, I knew that this wedding was going to be a trip. I must be a prophet. Not only was Paul & Kara’s wedding a blast but the people there were incredible. Because of this, the pictures really turned out great.
Haiti Relief Trip : January 30 – February 7, 2010 : : CLICK HERE
I had just arrived at home after a long day at work. My normal routine is to get home, walk the dog & relax for the evening. This night was different. News coverage on this night was not the War in the Middle East. It was not a local basketball game. It was the devistating earthquake in Haiti. Just two weeks after the earthquake, God allowed me the opportunity to go and help. While I didn’t even make a dent in the piles of rubble or wrecked lives, I was able to take my camera and document the fact that life prevails even in tragedy. Read more about my trip on my ministry website at www.operationwatch.com. Any proceeds from prints purchased from this gallery will go toward medical relief & the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Haiti.
Josh & Carrie Engagement Session : January 9, 2010 : : CLICK HERE
Thank goodness for Facebook, right? I have had friends on the Marshall cheerleading squad for a long time. Carrie was one that I hadn’t met….UNTIL I saw that she was looking for a wedding photographer & DJ on Facebook. I had done pictures for some of her friends so I offered my services to her for her wedding. If nothing else, her and Josh are so daggone good looking…they would be great for my porfolio. I had always wanted to do portraits in the snow. Unfortunately, this day, it wasn’t snowing but the snow on the ground made for some good photos. I’ll be shooting Josh & Carrie’s wedding in a few weeks. This is one wedding I’m really looking forward to shooting.
Seth & Courtenay Engagement Session : October 2009 : : CLICK HERE
So I got my friend Allison involved in this shoot as my “lighting assistant.” In the end, her main job was opening boxes of Cracker Jacks. As my former roommate, I was happy to do Seth & Court’s engagement photos. I thought for sure Courtenay would end up punching him by the time the shoot was over. Could you imagine how awesome that photo would’ve been? I’m sure I would’ve won some type of an award.
David & Amy Engagement Session : October 22, 2009 : : CLICK HERE
I’ve known David for quite a while as he has grown up in my church. I honestly can’t remember a time that he hasn’t been dating Amy. Exaggeration? Perhaps. However, these guys were a lot of fun. At one point, I even had David hanging upside down in a tree in Ritter Park. Good times.
Charlie & Angie Got Hitched : October 10, 2009 : : CLICK HERE
So a few months ago, I posted some pictures from another wedding that I shot at my church. A couple of days later, I get a message from my friend of probably 20+ years asking me if I’d be interested in shooting her wedding. Needless to say, I didn’t hesitate in taking the job. I’ve known Angie since elementary school and her family is a blast. Little did I know, Charlie’s family is just as crazy. Good thing for me, everybody had a great time, and it came out in the pictures. Enjoy.
Hall / Mount Family Portraits : October 5, 2009 : : CLICK HERE
I think I had been trying to shoot these pictures for about six months. I’ve known the Hall Family for a long time and love every single one of them. Just so happens, Monica, the oldest Hall kid is now married and has a baby. You guys know what babies mean…pictures…right? We will be doing another shoot with these folks soon as we ran out of light REALLY quick that night.
Marshall University Softball Alumni Game : October 3, 2009 : : CLICK HERE
After talking to former Marshall softball player, Shawna Thompson, I decided I would love to help out the Marshall softball team by taking pictures and selling them, giving all of the proceeds to the Diamond Club. These girls were really a lot of fun. It had been almost 10 years since some of them had played at Marshall but still, the competitive nature made this game fun to watch. Enjoy these pictures and buy some while you’re at it…the money goes to the softball program.
